Are 3D prints safe outdoors?

All of our 3D prints are made from PETG which is more durable and heat tolerant than the commonly used material PLA by home 3D printing. PETG remains structurally sound to 120F which will work in nearly all equine environments.

DO NOT leave prints in your vehicles without ventilation during the summer in warmer climates as these temperatures can exceed safe PETG temperatures causing warping and melting, surfaces inside a dark car can exceed 150F.

How strong is it?

3D prints can vary in strength but each item is designed to surpass its intended requirements within reason. We all know horses will find a way to cause damage to themselves or the things around them.

Do you actually make these?

All of the 3D prints are completed in house at the time of order. We regularly show the printers in action!

How is the surface finish?

Being 3D printed (FDM specifically), this does result in the surface not having a perfectly smooth finish and other minor imperfections may be present. FDM printing is completed by a nozzle placing melted filament and can have small burn marks, whisps, and layer lines that give a texted finish. All products are checked before shipment to verify integrity and finish, but small burn marks on non-facing finishes may be on the finished product. Any printed items with imperfections in the finished surfaces are not used, unless specifically purchased through a "blemished" listing.

If you have any questions about the product, finish, or process, don't hesitate to reach out for more information.

What are these strings?

Any stringing or wisps coming from the print are harmless artifacts of the printing process. Prints are cleaned before shipment but a few may slip through. These can be easily rubbed or picked off and discarded of without harm.

What if I have an idea?

Absolutely reach out with your idea, many of our products were asked for by other customers to fill a need, and many others created from being with our own horses.
